Public Awareness

NMSIP delivers vital information to community groups and students that highlight the problem of youth suicide and the stigma that surrounds mental health issues. The content of these presentations include:

  • Extent of the problem of youth suicide
  • Suicide risk and protective factors
  • Warning signs
  • Availability of resources

Classroom presentations implore students to “watch out for each other.”
